Abstract

The digital transformation compels madrasahs to adapt to technological advancements in order to remain competitive in the modern educational landscape. This study aims to elaborate on madrasah management strategies in the digital era, identify the emerging challenges, and propose applicable solutions. The research method employed is a literature review, examining Sinta-indexed journals, Ministry of Religious Affairs policies, and recent international literature published between 2022 and 2025. The findings indicate that the main strategies include administrative digitalization, strengthening teachers’ digital literacy, and fostering visionary and transformational leadership among madrasah principals. The key challenges involve limited technological infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy among teachers and students, and organizational resistance to change. To address these issues, the study suggests the development of a madrasah digitalization roadmap, continuous professional training programs, strengthened external collaboration, and the integration of technology with Islamic values. Thus, this study emphasizes that the success of madrasah management in the digital era depends on the institution’s ability to adapt innovatively while preserving its Islamic identity.
