INOVASI DESA DALAM MENDUKUNG PENCAPAIAN TUJUAN PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN (SDGS DESA)

Abstract

This study examines the role of village innovation in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (Village SDGs) in Gentengkulon Village, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency. The main research problems focus on how village innovations are developed, the extent of community involvement, and the factors determining the sustainability of innovation in achieving the Village SDGs. This study is positioned as research that integrates public service, economic, social, and environmental innovations, community participation, and sustainability within a single analytical framework. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively from village government officials, program managers, village institutions, and community members. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings indicate that there are 14 programs or initiatives relevant to the Village SDGs, consisting of five in the economic sector, one in public services, four in the social sector, and four in the environmental sector. Community participation is categorized as high during the implementation and utilization stages but moderate during the planning and evaluation stages. The sustainability of innovation is supported by village leadership, community participation, technology, and partnerships, while limitations in human resources, funding, and evaluation remain the main challenges. These findings emphasize the importance of integrated, participatory, and sustainable innovation in strengthening the achievement of the Village SDGs. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening the relationship between local innovation, governance, participation, and the village sustainable development agenda.
