ETIMOLOGI STUDI ISLAM

Abstract

Etymologically Islamic Studies is a translation of the
Arabic Dirasah Islamiyah. While Islamic Studies in the west
known as the Islamic Studies. Then Islamic studies are literally
the study on matters related to Islam. This meaning is so
common that there needs to be understanding terminological
specification of Islamic studies in a systematic and integrated
studies. Of social phenomena that occur in society, Islam is
attractive to serve as the object of study and in studying Islam,
surely we must be guided by two authentic sources of the Qur'an
and the hadith. The relationship between the two can not be
separated, but are clearly distinguishable. Their relationship
does not stand alone and face to face, but both woven,
intertwined and interwoven such that both together in one
wholeness solid and compact. The deepest meaning and
moralitaskeagamaan still there, still emphasized and underlined
in understanding the vagaries of the phenomenon of human
diversity, then he automatically can not escape from the chains
and pitfalls of space and time.
