Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of market day activities in instilling entrepreneurship values in early childhood at KB Aisyiyah 42. This research is motivated by the importance of developing entrepreneurial character from an early age as part of building life skills, independence, creativity, and children’s social abilities. Market day activities were chosen as a contextual learning medium that allows children to gain direct experience through simple buying and selling activities. This study employed a qualitative method with a field research design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of market day activities at KB Aisyiyah 42 was carried out through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages involving teachers, children, and parents in the learning process. Market day activities not only functioned as buying and selling activities but also became a medium for instilling entrepreneurship values such as independence, responsibility, creativity, discipline, cooperation, communication skills, and self-confidence in early childhood. In addition, the role of teachers as mentors, facilitators, motivators, and role models contributed significantly to the success of the market day activities. This study indicates that experiential learning through market day activities can create an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere for early childhood. Therefore, market day activities can be used as an innovative learning alternative in developing entrepreneurial character in early childhood education environments.
