Food security is an important aspect of developing a healthy, independent, and environmentally conscious generation. Therefore, awareness of food security should be introduced from an early age so that children understand the importance of sustainable food production and consumption. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and awareness of students at SDN 1 Palaan regarding food security through educational activities and vegetable cultivation practices. The program consisted of group exercise as an opening activity, educational sessions on food security, video demonstrations on recycling used gallon containers into planting pots, video tutorials on proper planting techniques, painting pre-prepared planting pots, and hands-on planting of vegetables, including chili, eggplant, and pak choi. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach that encouraged students to be actively involved throughout the learning process. The results indicated that the students participated enthusiastically, gained a better understanding of food security concepts, learned basic vegetable cultivation techniques, and showed interest in applying planting activities at home and at school. This program is expected to foster students' awareness and concern for food security from an early age through educational, creative, and practical learning activities.
