Abstract

The qurban meat distribution program organized by the Muhammadiyah Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah Institution (LAZISMU) of Bima City is a form of Islamic philanthropy that has a social empowerment dimension for marginalized communities. This community service activity aims to describe the implementation mechanism, distribution strategy, and socio-economic impact of the LAZISMU Qurban meat distribution program in Bima City on poor and vulnerable community groups. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation methods, in-depth interviews, and documentation carried out during the month of Zulhijah 1447 H / May 2026. The subjects of the activity included 312 beneficiary families spread across six sub-districts with high poverty rates in Bima City, namely Melayu, Dara, Manggemaci, Tanjung, Sambinae, and Penanae Sub-districts. The results of the activity indicate that the LAZISMU Bima City qurban meat distribution program is able to reach groups that have been marginalized in access to quality animal food, including the poor, elderly widows, people with disabilities, and casual laborers. Program innovations such as validation of beneficiary data based on neighborhood units (RT/RW), partnerships with local farmers, and a scheduled distribution system have proven to increase effectiveness and target accuracy. This program is not only consumptive in dimension, but also has the potential for productive empowerment through strengthening community social networks. The study recommends expanding the program's reach, integrating integrated mustahik data, and cross-institutional collaboration between LAZISMU, local governments, and community organizations to strengthen the food security of marginalized communities in a sustainable manner.
